Afternoon Tea Anyone...?



 
I’ve ended the day by making a fresh batch of scones. Naturally, the feijoa and apple jelly I made the other day was the choice of topping (and tasted divine if I must say so myself) but I am considering trying some of the roasted feijoa relish and some soft cheese on one later. This was the first batch of scones in this oven so there was a little bit of finger tapping as I waited for just the right moment to pull them out. 



 


Admittedly, I am a tad fussy about my scones but I like a nicely coloured outside and a light fluffy inside and if not watched a good scone can quickly go to the birds! Two scones and a hot cuppa later and I wandered over to the neighbours to drop off a jar of jelly before putting the girls in for the night.
