Willowy Stems Of Sunshine...

Here is a picture showing just how tall one of my giants grew. Although her heavy head hangs low now, she did reach the guttering on the cottage at one point.

This morning I looked in dismay at her petals that have started to wilt and look rather droopy, sadly it is the inevitable that her beauty is fading and I will no longer be able to relish looking at her magnificent colours which stretched toward the sky.

The good news though, is that although her beauty is fading, I will be able to capture all her seed and plant many a stem of sunshine...I do however, have to chop her top off.

Off with her head!

Sage Sensations...

Here are my little white sage seedlings nearly due for a re pot I am thinking. They have the most intoxicating fragrance to them, really looking forward to making my own smudge sticks but that is a little way off yet.

Mmmm Melons...

Hopefully there is enough of summer left to get the best from these yummy little treats. They have grown slower than I would have thought but as long as I get a taste I’m a happy girl.

Because this is my first year of buying seed/growing new produce/learning what likes to be where etc, I am just going with the flow and fingers crossed I have catered for their needs correctly.

This is the latest pics of some of the melons which are starting to spread themselves out and hang down from their pot.

Nothing like fresh chilled melon on a hot day...especially a melon jumble made from an assortment of goodies!
