I love my chooks. I haven’t even had an egg yet but I am completely and utterly besotted with them. This morning Petunia and Doris found the water channel where the spring seeps into, they stopped briefly and had a drink so I am quite proud. They are venturing further away from the run now which is really nice to see. Alfie and Lola are more curious and I have found them wandering down by the vegetable garden, they don’t seem to be as cautious as the older girls. Yesterday was their first day out of the run so they didn’t go out for long, today the door opened at breakfast and everyone piled outside for a scratch around and grooming session in the sun.
